We are thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with SaskPower for an event that you won't want to miss! Mark your calendars for an exclusive in-person luncheon and tour, where we'll delve into PMI RSSC Project of Year: SaskPower Head Office Refurbishment Project.

Presentation Title: SaskPower Head Office Refurbishment Project:  Tips and Tricks 

Over the past five years, SaskPower completed a full revitalization of its downtown Regina head office. This ambitious project demanded innovation, unwavering commitment, and diligent work to ensure successful completion within the designated timeframe and budget.    

Following the presentation there will be an opportunity to tour some of these newly renovated spaces.  Please RSVP with your interest to participated in the tour.    

Members from SaskPower’s Head Office Refurbishment project team will share project stories, pictures and some key project lessons that allowed this project to be delivered on schedule and on budget.   

Speakers' Biographies: 

Scott Campbell – Director, Properties & Shared Services 
Scott Campbell was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario.  He attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.  He then joined Manitoba Hydro, gaining valuable experience by working in several departments and eventually receiving this P.ENG designation.  In 2008, he moved with his wife Meghan to Regina and joined SaskPower, obtaining his PMP designation around that time.  In 2012 he joined the Properties and Shared Services Department, working as a project manager.  A few years later he became the Director of the Department.  Scott along with Meghan have 2 sons, Erik and William.      


Yasir Elawad – Manager, Properties Project Management
Yasir Elawad is the Manager leading Properties Project Management Section at SaskPower. Before this role, he served as the Director of Project Management for Regina and Southern Saskatchewan within the Government of Saskatchewan, where he held several other positions. Prior to his government tenure, Yasir gained experience as both a project manager and construction manager. He possesses certifications as a Prince2 Practitioner, PMP, and PEng.


Dan Coccimiglio – Project Manager, Properties Project Management
Dan Coccimiglio (Kooch-EE-me-leo) is passionate about working with teams to build awesome things that benefit society. He has worked for SaskPower as an engineer and project manager for fourteen years and been involved in more than half a billion dollars in projects. His project experience includes hydroelectric power plants, experimental carbon capture facilities, data centers, control rooms and large-scale commercial building projects. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 from the University of Saskatchewan and his Executive Masters in Business Administration in 2020 from the University of Regina. He has held a P.Eng. designation with APEGS since 2013 and a PMP with PMI since 2012. Dan resides in Lumsden, SK with his wife and four daughters and is an active member of the community. When they aren’t in the hockey rink or courtside, they enjoy spending time at their cabin on Good Spirit Lake that they built as a family.
